Moose thanks for doing this...
I have my guys name and will do something but it is hard because the member has less than 100 posts and that makes it hard to read the guy. So may I suggest that here you members who so feel inclined post you wants and interests so "Santa" can get you something in line with your wants.

For me I have a new shop with no decorations

I also machine small models

Old tractors are neat

Old tools will always have a space in my shop.

lg
no neat sig line

My guy has a ton of posts but it seems like he might be "the guy that has everything" Either way I have some creative ideas but maybe he will post here and help me out.

I don't have a ton of posts and am far from picky but my interests include anything BMW (cars) related..... vintage ads, signs, etc etc

My next big project will be a mid mounted honda engine powered Fiat 500.... So that will be a ton of fab and welding (read clamps, welding accessories, etc)

Tool brand really doesn't matter all that much to me, I like them all. But high end pliers make me happy.

I don't have many posts either. Most of my hand tools were stolen so I'm just about starting anew. I still need screwdrivers, pliers of all types, a breaker bar, and all manner of socket extensions. I'm also a huge hockey fan (Capitals) and like anything that has to do with that.

BTW, great idea Larry

I really do sympathize with whoever has me. If it helps any, my hobby is riding 4 wheelers in the mountains.

Dear Santa,

Feel free to check my signature line. I'm into Oldsmobiles too. Also, I have never owned a Snap-On tool. I hear lots of good things about them. :) But hey, I'm not super picky and it truely is the thought and spirit of Christmas that counts.

Otherwise, if my recipient is out there, I do have something picked out. Feel free to leave a hint on this thread though. Thank you.

I have a few idea's for my recipient... I just hope he doesn't go on a December tool buying frenzy, and I end up duplicating!

I might like something from a brand that isn't available over here, such as Wright, Matco or Cornwell. I also like anything to do with U.S muscle cars and Audi quattro's.

I like mountain biking, robotics, computer modding, odd gadgety/geeky things, and of course tools.

I'm a few years shy of my 30th birthday.

I don't have any tool-truck tools, but might like one for comparison/review on ToolGuyd.

I tend to prefer USA-made tools.

I like nifty tool organizational things.

Just trying to make things easier on whoever has me, hope I didn't make it worse.

My guy is tough too he does not post much but he sounds like he has everything. I think a form-a-funnel is good idea for anybody if you want to buy something new.

I like SO and Matco, though I am curious about Cornwell ratchets. I love my Glock .40 cal pistols, and I love anything alcohol related.

I like surprises so anything my SS gets me will be well appreciated! :)

I am a woodworking nut, weld a fair amount and have built 3 offshore fishing boats. I am a hobbyist and do not have many tool-truck tools. My wrenches/sockets are Craftsman, Proto and Williams, and have been slowly replacing my 12 point sets with 6 point. I have dirt bikes I work on, plenty of guns, offshore fishing gear a plenty and have a Canon 5d SLR I use alot for photography projects. I live by the beach as well. I'm your basic ADHD study with a garage. I'm on my 3rd new shop, been stocking it and decorating since August, see the threads. Warning- any fishing gear and you'll be chipping in for my divorce attorney, lol..!

I like long walks on the beach, puppy dogs, rainy Spring days and getting together with my best girl friends for a ladies' night out.

Oh wait. That was my application for the Miss America contest. They rejected it cuz I'm a guy.

Never mind. Send bail.

I am a 25 year old who grew up having a dad with a garage full of tools. I currently live at an apartment which fortunately is 2 minutes from my parents house. I have been building my tools up for when I do have a garage with enough room to work on cars. I have most everything I need for a very good basic tool set, so pretty much any gift will work. I like guns, working on cars, computers, track days, and car detailing. I have 2002 Subaru WRX and a 2002 BMW M3. I have been thinking about trying some of the high tooth count ratchets either Wright, Matco, Snap-on, or Craftsman premium. I also like screw drivers, and metric sockets. I also need to eventually get my own set of impact sockets. I need pretty much everything, so I will be happy with whatever I get.

Hope this helps,

Cole

I'm also not entirely sure what I'm going to get my SS recipient, but I've got some ideas beginning to take shape. :bounce:

For the record, I like surprises. I will be happy with absolutely anything that someone wants to give.

Alot of good ideas here. I'm in the last half of my garage refurb and could use a clock to hang on the wall. Something easy to read. Pretty much anything altho' I'm not a big wrencher. Happy holidays all and good idea for a thread!

Good deal. :) I've started stalking the member I was ssigned. Hoping to get him something good.

Hope this thread can distill what people are looking for. Obviously chadster really wants his secret santa to get him some hiper beadlocks. :D :D

As for, if my secret santa wants some help:

Anything blue is good. Really good. Blue = awesome. Prefer USA made tools, almost my whole toolbox is Craftsman right now, with some truck brands mixed in. No Cornwell yet, but I have been looking for a ratchet or two, or a socket set in the blue case. I'm not much more than a weekend wrencher, so I'm not a ******** mechanic like a lot of the guys here. Actually work in IT so getting to mess around in the garage is my time to decompress and get away from computers, which is why I don't have a PC out in the garage like some folks here.

Kind of started looking for some Pure Oil stuff, as my grandfather owned a Pure station back in the day here in Indy. Just rambling now. :D

Really looking forward to seeing what everyone gets each other. :)

I researched several hours today and ended up ordering something from Chadster1 for my recipient. I'll have to supplement what I got from Chadster.. so I'll be Ebaying the next several days trying to get a package together.

As for whoever got me, I'd be happy with anything. But I'm a DIYer and since I moved 1200 miles away from extended family, I'm only maintaining my own vehicles for now. I tend to gravitate towards my SK and Proto tools. But I have a mix of Gearwrench, craftsman, master mechanic, SK and Proto tools.

I like surprises so anything my SS gets me will be well appreciated!

I like Meyers 'Original' dark rum :), Walmart $1 bags of butterscotch hard candies, snickerdoodle cookies, Virginia Diner peanuts, thick slice butcher shop bacon, Rapa original scrapple, Rita's ice cream, Outback Steak House, Ledo Pizza, cake doughnuts, black coffee, Reeses peanutbutter cups, Good & Plenty (licorice), Chicken Cheese Steaks, Thrasher's french fries, Blue Crabs, Chick-Filet, 25 and drunk. Seriously, these are good options, not a BS post.

Tools are ok too, smooth and chrome, surprise me.
I have a megar collection of Cman 'BE' , & 'H' anything like that you might have stashed in the back of a box somewhere in the garage or basement would be cool too.

Just saying...

I don't need anything, my stuff works and fit's my hands. A couple of years back I had a helper who nicknamed me "pair and a spare" if that gives you a clue.

This GJ SS thing is pretty cool, glad to be a part of it.

If anyone is wondering for me I will fill you in:

USA or Euro stuff is preferred. I'd rather get a snap on pocket screwdriver than a harbor freight tool kit. :lol_hitti I'm into volkswagens and I am an HVAC contractor.

That should be good to go of of, I think. :headscrat

Maybe I'm not sure how this works....but I can't even find "my guy"..... did Moose put the guys handle in brackets, like Ed "E-tek" Danneberg? If that's the case, then my guy doesn't even exist!
I was hoping to get another "old timer"!!

My guy has been here a long time but only has a handful of posts. Hopefully he can use what I send him.

As for me, I have mostly Craftsman and GearWrench stuff. I mostly tinker around with motorcycles and ATVs. I own a few shares of Harley stock.

GearWrench makes a nice 3 piece long reach torx screwdriver set that I wouldn't mind having...

2 posts> "directed at woody i forgot to quoet ya"

i thought to be in u had to be a senior member?

They adjusted it so if the member was here for over a year they could get in also.

I thought I had found the perfect gift at the pawn shop last march and I have been saving it for 9 months. But who I am sending to has a better version of the same tool already.

For any of you guys that are wondering what to get you can check out the previous threads.

Edit: The end of the second year got a little ugly and I hope it works out better this year.

I think this sort of ruins the fun. But I will be happy with anything tool related. I use a couple tools out of each of the last gifts on a regular basis. I am not expecting anything new. Most of my tools were bought used beacuse after the first day "new" tools become used anyway.

who ever has me im fond of midgets... you know, "little people" (deffinately female only), preferably a blond or redhead but im not picky... they can most likely be squeezed into a large FRP if they lay right, include a granola bar for the ride as i dont want a dead midget to deal with.

i hope my recipient posts what he wants as i have no idea but im researching him diligently

I hope my recipient posts here, I had an idea until I found a for sale ad by my recipient :lol_hitti.

Anyway, I love to wrench on my cars. I have most of the basics but could always use some larger sockets (for lug nuts, bigger than 21mm) or some impact sockets. Any little garage accessories would also be appreciated, I'm on the hunt for a garbage can :bounce:. I'll be happy with just about anything, even packaging peanuts.

Mine has a fair number of posts, just seems like he has a lot of stuff, I ordered something today I think he will like, but if I figure something better out after some cyber stalking, I will keep what I ordered and go for that.

I have the start of an idea for mine, but he is a "senior member" with a ton of posts and not many clues! I think mine will be interesting to say the least.

I love tools in general... I have been on a vise kick lately, but have always been a fan of ratchets. I tend to hoard the flex heads and the 1/4" drives the most though. 1/4" drive kits in metal boxes seem to occupy a large slot in the collection too. I think like most people on here I dig the truck brands and the older, defunct, more obscure ones too.
