Yea I passed up one beat up for 68 dollars on ebay......why so much?

Many think that is the best screwdriver ever made. Why I don't know. I bought mine off the truck for 40.00. As for the clear ratcheting screwdriver, it was only made 1 year I think. Collectors are the ones running the prices up, especially on NOS and very lightly used items.

I agree, it was the best screwdriver ever made. I bought my first one back in 1976, the part number was SSDD 42 then, then later SDDD 42. I don't know how many I have purchased over the years because some of them I lost. I do know that I currently own 10 of them. 8 of them are black, 1 in blue and 1 in orange. They are just so handy.

I've had mine with the black handle for 20 years or so. I have the standard size tip insert and the smaller size tip insert. Had them in my flight bag when I was flying as part of my job. They were the only screw driver I carried.
