Need solution for 1x12 garage siding

Current detached garage siding is 1x12 lap and I have rot in several areas at the very bottom of the bottom boards. (No gutters so I'm guessing rain water bouncing back up) This should be an easy fix to pull the old off and put new on but the problem is I can't find 1x12 in PT pine. One lumber yard could get it but a minimum of a couple hundred pieces. Another offered cedar but I'm on the down hill side of wrestling with some carpenter bees on my cedar deck so I'd like to stay away.

Only need about a dozen 8'ers. The lap siding is just nailed to the frame, no insulation or sheathing/wrap behind it. Any ideas?

I'm not sure if they make a 1x12 pressure treated.

You need gutters like you think to help with the rot issue. This must be a fairly old house ?

Are carpenter bees more attracted to cedar than other species? I've never heard that before. If you don't want to use cedar I'd go with pine, well primed and painted on all surfaces before installation, and then put up gutters.

Use cement board.
The paint will hide any appearance change.
And the cement board will not rot until you get the gutters put on.

Yes it is an older house (1954), and the previous owners had plants and ferns that were jam up next to the structure which didnt help

Still trying to get their years of neglect rectified....

If it is painted, I would get 4x8 sheets of medium density overlay (MDO) and cut it into strips for siding. It is an exterior plywood product that has a paper like face. A lot of outdoor signs are produced on it. I had a piece that sat outdoors leaning on my shed for over 10 years and it was still like new, so I used it for a project.
