I got this cabinet a few months back, and was planning on using it for storing welding supplies. I have since decided to use it to store my knife collection instead.
I have mostly Italian style stilettos/leverlocks, so I would keep them stored in the open position. My question is what would you guys recommend in terms of fabbing up a system of shelves to store them on the inside door as well as the top of the box since it's hinged to open from the top as well? As you can see the cabinet is metal, so I will weld on some sort of shelves. I'm just looking for some ideas in how I could keep them snug.
On the interior part of the cabinet I will make three or so shelves using angle iron and some sort of shelf which I'll probably wrap in felt. I might even put a cool light inside as well. Definitely gonna get it pinstriped by a friend of mine who does awesome work.
Here's a few pics of the cabinet in its current condition.
