Hey guys.. was home yesterday evening and noticed my temperature rising and the fan not blowing in the house. I was outside till 2 AM trying to figure it out and so far it's not the usual that I've found in the past.
What I have is a heat and air packaged unit outside. The only thing located in the house is the thermostat control.
The first problem I noticed was the blower was not pushing air into the house. I manually turned it to on and it still doesn't come on but the board in the video starts making a tone noise. I'm almost wondering if this board is damaged but am not sure on how to test it.
For testing of the blower fan, I pulled the black wire and hooked it on the front side of the contactor. It will work like this just fine. So while leaving this on, I noticed the compressor will kick on but the condenser fan won't. I tested the capacitor and it reads within specs. 5/45 uf so I've eliminated that. The next I did was hooked the condenser fan directly up to 240 and it runs fine.
I'm kind of stumped and needing some assistance. I'm thinking it may be this blower board but not sure. Can someone help me out with testing it further?
