No, not that kind of Fawcett...
Here's the back story...Old house with galvanized plumbing, replaced sink and faucet with new and had to replace a few pipes since they rotted from the inside out.
We have good water pressure at the cut off's and some **** came out of those lines looking like chocolate milk when we flushed them before hooking up the new faucet. Water finally ran clear after a few gallons. Hooked up new faucet and as soon as we turned the cut off's on, you could hear an audible thunk in the faucet and only a little dribble comes out. The sprayer nozzle has good pressure, just none out of the faucet. The strainer is not installed yet.
I figured I blew **** up into it somewhere so I took it apart, cleaned out a little crud and ran a piece of stiff wire through all of the holes with the supply lines disconnected. Reassemble, turn on water, still hear thunk, spits water for a couple of seconds and back to a dribble.
I can tap on the sides of the faucet and every now and then a little more water comes out but not much. This is the style that has 1 handle for hot and cold. I can easily disassemble the top and get to the supply orifices, but the one where the water comes out I can not figure out how to remove to clean out. I tried to unscrew it but it just turns.
This was a Home Depot special in a kit that came with a stainless sink for $100. I think is is an Elkay brand and looks like this
Any clues other than just replacing?
