I've googled my brain out on this and haven't gotten decent results I'm asking for help.

Whether out not it's the correct usage, sometimes you (I) have use an impact driver to drill a hole. A lot of my auger and spade bits have a hex shank so they work fine. My hole saws and other bits aren't. I use a 1/2" Keyed Jacobs chuck, keyed to resist the vibration/shock, and it works great. I haven't had a bit come loose or break as of yet, I do however keep breaking the 3/8"-24 to 1/4" Hex adapters for the chuck. I tried to contact Jacob's looking for the one they use on there Adapt-a-drive 1/4" chuck, and they sent me back a catalog cut on the adapt-a-drive, so very helpful. So my question is does anyone know of good quality 3/8"-24 to 1/4" Hex adapter? All the one's I've tried have been of Chinese manufacture and roughly finished. Pic attached for reference.

Going to the other end of the chucking spectrum. Does anyone know of an adapter to convert a Dremel drill chuck/collet to a 1/4" Hex drive. Once again all the mini chucks I've tired are cheap Chinese ones that don't close square and/or don't fit a standard 1/4" Hex. I know the Dremel is some crazy proprietary threading like .277" x 40 TPI

Thanks for any input you can share.

There are some holesaws made now that are made for impact drivers. Makita makes a chuck for use in an impact that is pretty good. Personally I would stop drilling with your impact.
