Need some help finding something

I’m turning my 10x10 shed into a chicken coop (bought more chickens)
Bought some 10x6 chain link kennel panels for the run
I have some metal roofing panels I want to put on top
of the kennel panels. Do they make a bracket that attaches
to the top of the panel that I can put a 2x4 on
I don’t know what it would be called
10 years ago when I was playing a lot of softball I remember the dugouts were chain link and had metal roofing on them but can’t remember what the brackets looked like. All the fields are closed up so I can’t get in there to look
Checked Lowes and Home Depot and nothing there

Electrical "Minerellac" clamps, or even simpler just two hole straps for elect conduit/ pipe.

Or just galv tie wire through some drilled holes... steel to top horiz fence pipe, not wood needed... it is a chicken coop !

What Marc said, electrical hardware is adaptable to many uses.

You may or may not know... Electrical straps of ALL kinds are for Rigid Pipe, or EMT.

Two different sizings.

For example a rigid pipe 1" strap will be close to an EMT 1 1/4".

Or, put another way, a strap for any size Rigid will be loose on same nominal size of EMT.

So just measure the OD of your kennel pipe and go to Big Box elect section to find stuff that will work.

Thought I would save you confusion rather than worry about insulting your knowledge.

Just go to Bigbox w whatever you wanna measure with and look what they have.

You aren't gonna drag your kennel panel in there, so find pipe there closest to your OD and see how various clamps fit.

Only reason for wanting to use 2x4’s is for support when it snows

That's a good idea... on edge I assume ?

So ya, put 2x4 vertical on top of kennel pipe and ********.

Then I would just get 2 hole straps and bend the ears flat, or just use Plumber strap.

Couple self drilling screws through straps into the pipe will keep it all from spinning... will keep 2x4 plumb.

Course, once the metal is screwed down it will stay.

I would somehow slightly slope the tin.

It will be nice, and the chickens will thank you.

I was just going to put the 2x4 on edge and screw a lag bolt in the 2x4
Don’t know how big the hole is until I see it
You think I need to use a strap also?

You mean just drill a hole through both walls of pipe and pass lagscrew through pipe ?

Sounds fine as long as hole is like 5/16 or less... smaller the better...

Use the screws linked below... smaller OD than conventional "Lag Screw" and drive much easier.

So now you are putting all snow load on two small non distributed spots ?

How about set the 2x4 intimately on top of kennel pipe w no space ?

Now the pipe and the 2x4 make a beam of sorts.

Your way is fine if you space the Mini straps like 2'oc rather than 8'.

Or 4' anyway.

Again, million ways to do it, but requires thinking through the options.
