I’m in the middle of a new project, restoring a recently acquired Snap-On 1750 Vise. I’ve done a fair amount of research so far, and feel fairly confident in the restoration.
However, since I’m a near fanatic on getting it right, I was wondering if anyone knew some small details about the paint. I’ve already got (what I think is) the right PPG paint code 73504. I’m wondering though, if originally supplied vises from Snap-On had painted (or bare metal) end caps? I’ve also seen photos of bare metal (brushed?) vertical jaw ends, and was wondering if that was correct?
