Need some help with disassembling a Kelvinator 240V AC

Heyo

Been a long time since I've posted something but here I go...

We are getting our AC replaced in a while and I was wanting to salvage the compressor and expansion valve to make a smaller, portable and maybe even more energy efficient AC. But I have a few questions:
1. Can someone give me some advice on 240v wiring? I know how to solder, check the common ect. But would like some help on wiring 2 fans and the compressor to a switch

2. Does it have to use the same radiator for dissipating heat? I was thinking of salvaging a car radiator and using that with either a radiator fan or a plain 240v fan behind it. Also, would that apply for the cold radiator too? I think its about 1.2KWh using R34 refrigerant.

3. I'm not that familiar with AC, but is it like DC so if you switch the wiring around it will go in reverse?

When I get back from holidays I'll post the model and wiring diagram info because I can't remember the model type.

Most likely the old system uses R22 and you are not allowed to fool with it without a license due to government regulations.

Reversing the wiring on a single phase AC motor will have no effect on the direction of rotation.

Car radiators are designed as Water to Air heat exchangers. If you have hot water, or a compatible fluid, in the radiator when the fan moves air though the fins the heat will be exchanged from the water to the air.

It is R22 and along with that, it is a Kelvinator KSR20D. Did a Google search and practically no results

But if anyone can find anything, even a manual, it would be of great help.

Also, after they get rid of the refrigerant, I can still muck around with it? And finally, once I make it, if I take it to a serviceman, can they check for leaks and then if there are none, fill it up with R22??

Not any way to do what you are talking about. Car radiators work at 15 psi Max. A/C condensers operate at 350psi on a hot day. You don't know anything about A/C from the post so I think it would just be a waste of time for you to do what you are wondering about. The old unit is scrap metal if you want to take it apart you can but as far as getting anything to work out of it. No way.
