I have a 38 by 11 attached garage to my condo and although I have an end unit the windows in the garage do not open. The window is huge too and right now I think that replacing it with an opening one is out of the question due to HOA regs.
I need to devise some sort of plan to pull air out of the garage and bring in fresh air. Right now it pulls air into the house which ***** if I am painting or staining or using some chemicals. Its not getting into our living space as the entry way is only about 8x8 and at the bottom of about 30 stairs so the air just sits there. Ideally I would like to pull the air out of the entry way and out to the garage and then out of the garage if that makes sense.
I have popped out the garage door window (there are 4 of them and they are about 15wx11t) hung a box fan and tried to **** out the paint fumes and over spray. Kinda worked
I was thinking about cutting through the exterior wall where all the electrical boxes are for the complex and having a pretty good sized breaker box painted to match then just running a bathroom type exhaust fan and exiting it into the box. this would be behind some lattice so getting out there and hanging it would be pretty easy. I think I can get away with it but looking at the fans i dont know if I could get one big enough to make a difference.
Other thought was a sort of pop out mechanism for the garage door, think camper trailer vent, with a fan I can hang in place to move the air that way.
I am all ears to some ideas for this dilemma.
Now that I am getting words down and am brainstorming what if I did a large fan , like the size of a box fan hung it from the ceiling pointing up ran that into some duct work and out the wall into electrical box? Kinda hung it near the center of the garage to just pull air up and out?
