I like and collect the Moore Drop forge RHFT ratchets with Craftsman being the most popular and recognized model. What I don’t know is how MAC tools made 2 models of torque flex heads. Was there as association with Apex/Danaher tools that bought Easco? From what I have seen MAC made two models, 3/8 TWF675A & 1/2 TWF8250A. Any info would be appreciated.

I'd say that's obviously and Esco/Danaher head on the torque wrench. I have a Mac torque wrench with a different style head (not flex) and when I went looking for a rebuild kit (NLA, btw) they told me it was made by Danaher/Apex. Same red knurled handle. Mine is 50-250 lb ft. Just a guess, but on the larger capacity wrenches, maybe they went with a more stout head. I don't know if the RHFT could take 250 lb ft.

Yeah it’s from Danaher/Easco, guess I’m surprised and what is the connection? MAC has their own forge and tooling, surprised they would source this out. Did Danaher sell them a bunch of NOS or did MAC have a production supply problem. Just odd to me they would work with a competitor when I have not been and to find a partnership of any kind. Why I’m asking the GJ for some history.

I emailed MAC and asked about the Apex/Danaher connection on the torque wrench and all MAC would say is that it was made by Apex group for MAC from 1994-2009. Still interesting that they would source it out to a competitor.
