Need some help with this Snap-on toolbox

Hi

Can someone help me put a year on this box I believe to be a KR-56. I have been searching the "collecting Snap-on site" and believe it is from around 1950, but there is something with the location of the logo that dont match.

Yes it will be restored, meaning cleaned and buffed. I love the look of used tools...

Those drawer pulls and chrome logo make me think mid late 50s.

Nice box. Looks identical to my KR 56 from 1955 (emblem, shape of handles and colored handles on the sides) Look for a stamp - if I remember correctly left side left lower corner...

I have the same box.

You'll find the date stamp and box model number on the back lower of the box. Mine is in the middle but I've seen them on the left and right sides too. You may need to look very closely because it can be very hard to spot the stamp in the paint.

You're looking at around 1957 give or take a year.
