Garden tools belong in a garden shed......

Necessary to have a fridge that big? If not, buy one that fits under the work bench.

Overhead cupboards to get smaller **** off the floor.

Paint definitely number 1, Gloss white with epoxy floors, light grey IMHO.

T8s or T5 flourescents to replace the little bulbs that dont light up ****!

I planned on moving all the wood and lawn and garden equipment up into the area where my bike is and put a door to cover all that. I just moved into the house thats why it is so cluttered. I started to sand all the walls down because the previous owner had all kinds of holes in the drywall, but i decided to take all the old stuff off and put new ones in.

I was kinda where you are now a few months back, I had to do things around the house before I could get to my garage, which is smaller than yers and have had to learn to do with less since my last space was 3 car with a 3 car workshop in front, but having to move for sake of the family.

I'm having a hard time judging if it's a 1 1/2 or 2 car, but guessing a 2, just barely though. I'm with what's been said so far: paint, lighting, declutter, store your wood as well as your grill outside at the very least, the yard tools in a shed if you can. Also, put up some cabinets as this gives you more floor space and keeps things neat and tidy. Everything has a place, and everything in it's place is becoming my mantra.

Clear off your workspace there and dedicate that as an open space you can always sit at and work on small projects.

Also, get your rods up off the floor, mine are mounted on the wall with a rod holder as they come out every weekend if not more so I wanted easy access.

Like you, I'm stuck with those gigantic garbage bin, except I also have one for recycle and it drives me nuts as it takes up so much of my precious space.

One last thing....That fish would look good centered on the wall!

Ok why are you guys storing your garbage toters inside the garage mine go behind/beside my garage not in it ? I can clutter up my space plenty without 90 gallon toters in here .

Update the doors to newer 6-panel style or at least just paint them white. Closed storage (cabinets or soffits) will do wonders for your clutter. Get that done, combined with the points already mentioned - paint, epoxy floors, lighting, and get things out/concealing them will all do wonders.

Spend a few days browsing the Garage Gallery for some of the best garage **** you've ever seen on the internet.

I find color choices pretty easy :D. What do you drive ? Blue oval go with some blue accents , Bow Tie red or hugger orange accents . I am a ford fan sooooooo I went for Blue accents although my walls and ceiling are gloss white ( more light reflected ) . Only issue is I have found that people cant read so they come into the garage and say ooooooooooh your a UK fan and I have to point out all of the Ford signs all over the garage .

I drive a Black Jeep Commander. Also I am a Sooner Fan so I was thinking maybe Sooner Colors but don't know if that will be cheesy.

You could always use a light gray and paint lines or accents with the Sooner colors.

I agree with the garbage tote should be outside. You could extend the work bench with large doors so You could store the shop vac and recycling bins inside it without seeing them. I would add some peg board for tools seeing that you don't have a box.

The garage had pegboard when i bought it but i really dont care for it. So I plan on buying a rolling toolbox after the new year. I do like the idea of the colors.

The wood has to go outside and away from the house. You don't want bugs and termites in your garage.

Color wise I would say Sooner colors would work. Maybe go with one red wall at the front and then a dual accent stripe on the side walls. I like white walls and if you go with a gloss finish you can clean them easily.

What's with the mirror? Did the previous owner have gym equipment in the garage?

Honestly if you have the room I'd add a shed somewhere else on the property before remodeling the garage. Once you get all the other stuff out it will allow you to do a lot more with it than you could with all those things in the way. Plus floor space is at a premium in any garage.

Im sure its an ordance/ covidance thing. My neighborhood has the same rules, no trashcans storage in the front or side yards, must be in the back (behind a fence) or in the garage. Mine lived in teh garage for the first couple of years. Then my neighbors and I took on the rule police...Well-um...Ok we just started to store them along side the house. Its been 4 years, my garage hasnt smelled better and the trash nazis' havent been around yet.
