mechanix wear brand is good stuff, i (we) used their gloves, knee pads, radio belts and shoes when i was doing some off road racing. one of the reasons pro pit crew use the stuff is they are sponsors for many racing organizations.
all the decals you see on race cars are there for a reason, contingency payouts.
for example in the series we raced in, we had to purchase at least one pair of gloves, and show proof of purchase to the contingency coordinator we were then given 2 mechanix wear stickers to place on our vehicle.
mechanix wear paid $25 to each class winner that was sporting their decals. if we had enough contingency sponsors, and won a race, that amount of money would almost pay for the race fuel used that weekend.
