Hello gents,

Fantastic forum this is!
Got loads of ideas and inspiration to my garage, and are quite impressed by the standard in here :)

Well, i am organizing my own garage at the moment, and ran out of ideas how to storage flap disc, cutting disc etc for the angle grinder.
I got 5", 7" and 9" disc, in different kind of thickness, for cutting, grinding, flap disc and so on :) Have some of you guys any cool storage ideas to that..?
And last, a storage idea to bolts and nuts.. How do you store them, so they are not in the way, but easy to find? :)

Thanks in advance!

With kind regards
- Emil

Wouldn't be hard to make a wall rack for disks either out of steel or wood, all you need is sme angle pegs on a backer that you can screw to the wall. Nuts and bolts I have a load of metal parts drawers in a couple of shelving units that they go in.

Thanks for the ideas!
Im going after the "clean" look, so im not the biggest fan of hanging Them on the Wall :)
But your ideas combined made me think of making some pegs on some steel, and hang them on the inside of the door to the tool cabinet, all my power tools are stored in :)

I remember seeing this on pinterest a while ago and thinking how simple and easy it was.

They are heavy duty paper plates and pie pans cut in half and screwed to the wall.
Screwed to the inside of a cupboard door would keep everything uncluttered.

Nut, bolt and screw storage is easy.

Screw the lid of jam jar/coffee jars etc to the bottom of a shelf and screw the jar to it. You can easily see the contents and they aren't cluttering up your workbench.;)

I did commercial fabrication out of my home shop for about 5 years. I have almost no wall space available. My wheels all wound up stacked flat in a drawer.

I found a small box and organize them that way, I have a similar box full of wire wheels and brushes.

Pinterest is chock full of storage solutions, and much more. It's worth it to spend an evening on there. You should post anything interesting you find back on here so we can get a look!

search for "multi drawer screw cabinet" and you'll find my suggestion for nut/bolt/screw storage. Compact, lots of options, and not reused baby food jars tacky. I have a stack of the style full of small fasteners (#2 - 1/4") as well as several with electronics components.

I used to keep my sanding discs in a file cabinet drawer...don't know if that would work for you. My grinder stuff lives in the same drawer with the angle grinder. (bottom drawer of the same file cabinet fWIW)

I saw pictures in the This Old House magazine where someone took the aluminum pie pans and stored their blades in them. You could get the ones with the plastic lids. This might be even better. I put my nuts and bolts in jars like this, too.

I've been collecting old coffee jars to use for bolt/nut storage for years and now have about 30 or 40. Just need some shelves to screw them to.

Thanks a lot guys!
Finally i think i have come to the conclusion i will setup a peg board inside the door of my tool cabinet, and to the other door i will make a rack like sixty to hang up my air tools.

For the bolts, nuts, screws, o-rings, springs etc. I still ned some kind of solution, put them in small jars would work, but it will take me forever to collect all the jars.. And i wanted it sorted now :D
So i am thinking on one of two solutions:

Like this with a closed box, you can take out and carry with you.

Or the cheap solution like this

But i cant really agree with myself which one is best. :)

- Sorry, couldnt get the pictures in :)

I prefer the first style with the boxes rather than the little plastic drawers.
I couldn't foot the bill to do all my hardware storage in that style of boxes so I use plastic tackle trays in a rack I constructed from ply and hardboard.

I did not realize you were in Denmark. Take a look at the Sortimo T-Boxx or the Allit Europlus Flex for small parts organization. Both are cheaper there compared to buying them in the US. The Sortimo is much nicer when compared to the Allit brand.
