House came this way. Concrete slopes into garage. The shallow area tends to fill with water. I plan on adding a channel drain in front of the door the full length of the door filling in the low area, but I’m also looking for a temporary fix. I was thinking some self leveling concrete in the low area, up to the door seal at least. Any suggestions or ideas?

Is the low spot the lip of the garage floor or the apron? Or both? It's hard to tell in the pic without it being pointed out. I would not recommend filling the low spot of the garage floor unless you plan on applying a coating. The repair will stick out like a sore thumb. Also, you need to consider where the water will migrate to after it is filled.

If you want something temporary, you may want to install a garage floor door seal like the one in the link below. This will add a little bit of height.

Installing the channel drain will consist of cutting out the low section, making it level. Outer edge of drain will go along the expansion joint.

Why not fix it all at once..... that is install the channel drain and raise the recess at the oh door at same time? Cut the concrete out for the channel drain and the oh door recess at one time. Work on getting the grades dialed in. Create a thermal break at the door line and pour the needed infill all at once???

That’s the final plan, guess I could’ve been clearer. Right now I’m looking for something to work until then. I’m curious if self leveling product would do the job.

Temporarily yes there are many options , I have seen smaller ready to mix with water solutions at the big box stores....Ardex and other manufacturers make thin leveling compounds.... given the freeze- thaw potential unless The repair area is well prepared, these are short term solutions. Also not sure you want this to be self leveling. Trowel applied is really how the product wants to be set in place.

Finally getting back to this. Driveway will be widened and extended for the detached garage out back.
Here are some better shots of the bad slope. Right now we are thinking cutting the concrete back at the seam and adding a 5 or 6” channel drain along that edge. Two thoughts on the threshold slope are to grind the high area down and match it to the level of the drain. At least make that area level at the door. Another idea is to grind down the high spot about 3/4 inch and fill the entire threshold area with self leveling concrete. I would like to tie the front downspout either into the drain or run a pipe next to or under the channel drain. Then connect the back downspout into the pipe(s) and on to the back of the yard.
I’m open to suggestions and ideas.

Looks like the entire pad in front of the garage needs tore out and resloped away from the garage. You wouldn't even need the channel drain.
