Hey everyone, im looking at a couple two post hoists for my personal shop. I have a 2003 gmc 2500HD, but also do work on a 3500 with a deck on it.
I work at a GM dealer and use a Rotary 15k lb two post everyday. I would love one but there just to much $$$ lol

im looking at two different hoists.both are 12k two posts. and both are AIL Certified.

the first one is the John Bean EELR537A. I can get for $4500 CND plus the truck adapters are extra.
the hoist has two stage arms and is close to the 10K rotarty we have at work.

the second is a PSK PK12-B two post, built like a Mohawk two post with the fork lift style posts and no cross bar.
it also has three stage arms.
price is $8250 and it comes with the truck adapters.

so my questions are, does anyone have any experience with either hoists and
what is better two stage arms or three?

Get a spo12. Less coin of the 15 but 3 stage arms front and rear make it extremely versatile

I have two in my personal shop. Even took down a spoa10ra this year for a brand new(5600) spo12

only problem is, a SPO12 hoist up here is $9600 Canadian. and that is just to much for a personal hoist that isn't used every day.
even the Revolution line from rotary in a 12K is $8600 without shipping.

ya got to love the ****** exchange rate right now lol.

even the $8250 is a lot for a personal hoist and its just at the very very top of what I wanted to pay.

So iv been looking around and got some more price's on hoists.
found that the Mohawk system 1 in 12000lbs would cost me $10,500.
but that's out of my price range .

also called Bendpak on there XPR-12C and it si $6650 shipped after tax.

Has anyone had any experience with the Bendpak 12lb two posts?
I see there is over 1000lbs difference in shipping weight from the XPR-10 to the XPR-12.
Im kind of leaning towards the XPR-12 as its in my price range and seems to be built much heavier than the 10k hoist.

only problem is , im in CANADA, shipping would kind of ****, and as I read, if you buy a Mohawk second hand, there is no warranty. kind of nulls the point of paying more for it.

the bendpak supplier is only 2 hours away , and parts should be easy to get.

thanks for the info tho. would make a good hoist for someone close to there
