Need some vise advice

Have a Wilton 1765 US made vise. It has some damage on the end piece #6, and the casing nut #7 was damaged, but have sourced a NOS. Need some opinions on this. Either how to repair, source NOS, or run as is. I was able to use this piece to align and drill holes in the new casing nut. Have new pins and original cap.

It might run fine but if the pin ever bends you will wish you had replaced it. An alternative is to use headed pins so they can be pulled instead of driven out in case one bends. It would still be a pain to remove but at least possible without drilling.
