I'm in need of a replacement electrical connector as shown on end of this battery charger.

The one on my Mom's electric start Craftsman walk behind mower was damaged beyond repair. I'd like to just replace the connector instead of ordering a new charger. Does anyone know of a source for connectors like this? Radio Shack didn't have this particular type in stock. There was no part number on the existing connector.

Thanks much,

An electronics supplier like Jameco may have it. The only problem is, there are thousands of connectors like this, so you may have to search for a while.

Look at the dimensions in the data sheets before ordering to make sure you have the right part.

Thanks. I'll look this link over when I get more time. It would help make searches easier if I knew what to call this connector.

What does the mower side look like. Can you just change both out?

An "SAE Style" connector would be perfect for this

It may come to this and would be fairly easy to do. Just thought I'd try finding the right connector first. The mower wiring harness has both the male and female version of this connector. You have to unplug the harness in the middle and then plug in the battery charger so I'd have to change 3 connectors total. Would probably still be cheaper than buying a new battery charger.

Its a keyed Molex connector, looks like 1/4" pin pitch. Pretty common, Mouser should have them.

Thank you, that info helps. On Mouser's website, I found what appears to be the identical part in black but it's a non-stock item and the minimum order quantity is 2000.

They also have what appears to be the same thing in "natural" instead of black and can be ordered in quantities of one.

Do these connectors typically come with the pins or do the pins have to be ordered separately?
