While restoring a Wilton Pow-R-Arm I ran into this sizeable retaining clip to remove. It's a mean one. The pliers I have for this are crappy and would like to get better ones.

Hand strength is an issue so the type that hold their position would be preferred but not necessary. I think angled or even 90 deg would work best for me.

Any ideas?

Look for Wilde. Quality American made tools and the OEM for most big name brands when it comes to retaining ring pliers. https://wildetool.com/category.cfm?catid=1

I bought these Craftsman a few months back and they rock. They are internal, external and come with a wide variety of different tips including 90 degree. They are USA made and sold as Channellock and Snap On. I cannot remember who makes them right now, but it might be Wilde.. http://www.sears.com/craftsman-prof...SellerId=Sears&prdNo=2&blockNo=2&blockType=G2

I have a set of SK pliers that look much like that Craftsman type but my tools are organized in such a manner that I can't find them....yet.
