Need suggestions on how to remove this post/pin without damaging

I have 12 old, Made in the USA, woodworking vises.

6 are the Milwaukee Morgan 200A

6 are Jorgensen 4"x10"

My hope is to restore all of them, which brings me to the pictures below. The metal post/pin that is sticking out of the front jaw raises and lowers a metal dog that is also in the front jaw. Morgan's post has a head while the Jorgensen's has no head. I'd like to remove this post/pin to clean up the dogs but don't want to damage the posts. I don't know if they are force fitted or screwed in.

Any suggestions on how to proceed & do the least damage would be really helpful.

I was going to suggest the very tool that Kenstone posted.

However I made mine by welding the slide-rod inline with the fixed jaw, its a really acute angle to match the "spine" of the vise grip. The one posted I feel certain will work but it will create a slight bend on the pin as its used.

Also very important to weld something like a T-handle or a large washer to create the basic static pull on the pliers. If a person gripped the nut in that design they would quickly end up with a blood blister from smashing a finger or fold of skin.

The plating that's on a vise grip wants to "jump" to the tig electrode if you use that process to weld, it then creates a "drip" on the tungsten that makes the arc wander all over. Good to clean that area thoroughly, the plating is extra thick on a traditional vise grip for some reason.

Edit; fyi, that rod is brazed to the cap screw, made from scrap for job at hand, not pulling a pin from a blind hole.
