need to find a builder

my wife and i bought a new house with a small garage, looking to add on but the couple of buliders ive had out said it cant be done... is anyone from the new lenox il. area that can recommend a garage builder.

Why don't you post some pictures here and find out if it can be done.

It is a lot easier to get someone to build to spec than it is to get someone to figure it out and build it.

Curious??? Why can't it be done? Builders don't usually say it can't be done unless there's a good reason. Also need to know your location. Every place has different rules and regulation for what can and can not be built.

Best solution is for you to immerse yourself into all the issues of
. . . . "Can't Do That" . . .
that you seen to be getting from vendors you've talked with . . these include:

a) Setbacks (distance from property line that building must be)
b) Square feet restrictions (ie county or city rules about size of garage)
c) Height restriction
d) Utilities on your property (ie gas lines, buried electric, septic systems, etc)
