need to vent newly created attic space?

i may have really dropped the ball here. i jumped on a quote to have a drywall company insulate and drywall the existing bare studs in my garage including (3) areas on the ceiling.

here is the first situation: the existing joists are 2x4 on 24" centers to frame the roof above on the front of the house, i knew there was no way i wanted to use that space for storage since i would have to do extensive bracing to support any weight.

here is the view from the garage.

they installed r-40 batts and 5/8" gyp sealing up this area.
the problem ( i think) is that there is no vent what so ever in this newly created attic space. in other areas of the house there is a small 16 x 18 vent at the peak (no soffit venting) i would do that here except i have a rock veneer on the front of the house and i do not want to disturb that. the only option i see is to add soffit grills along the soffit coming down from the peak. the problem is that in order to do that i will have to cut my soffit holes then reach inside the holes to cut the OSB since that goes to roof decking.

second issue is 2 smaller spaces approc 6' x 6' square that i closed up to contine the drywall flat across the clg. will each of these two areas need to be vented too? i really dont want to tamper with the roof due to it being shake, although i will if need be. i really dont want to see anything from the street so i dont want to add a big birdcage that spins to the roof.

any other ideas?

From the PICs I think you do have ridge venting.
The new way of doing that is a sponge like plastic strip matched with a 4 inch open gap in the roof sheathing.
What you are calling soffit vents are not. The soffit is the horizontal area from the wall out to the bottom of the gutters. Vents are put there because it is the lowest point in the attic and offers the most air circulation. You have gable vents. But I would expect you have soffit vents also.
If you have the same ridge venting along the garage roof, (it looks like you may) then all you need to do is cut venting inlets in the garage soffits so you can get air inlets into what is now a sealed area.
With the soffit vents in place, you will have enough air movement to avoid a gable vent in the front of the rock garage wall.

Do you have access to the area above the garage now that the drywall is installed? If you add soffit vents, you'll need an air gap between the roof and insulation. If they ran the insulation all the way over the soffits, the air can't flow between the soffit vents and the ridge vents. You can get the foam panels(not sure what they're called) from Lowes/HD that allow airflow between the insulation and the roof.
