A friend of mine just bought a house and in the garage the PO left a vise behind. My friend had no need for it (don't ask how that is) so I took it off his hands. It appears to be a pretty hefty vise even thought it only measures about 4.5 inches jaw opening. The only markings I can find on it are a V25A cast onto the body of the vist and V24 cast onto the movable jaw. I don't have a picture of it yet, but thought I would throw it out there to see if anybody has an idea of the make. Thanks

I have one that has those same parts casting numbers on it, along with V22 on the swivel base, but I have no idea who the maker is.

If it does not have Country of Orgin, I would guess European or Japanese. The Japanese made some decent vises before China entered the picture.
