A few years ago, I purchased a Mr. Heater Tank-top 3 burner heater. Works great for heating my garage. However, I would like to locate an extension hose so that I can mount heater in area and have the tank a little further away (Maybe have the tank under the bench and have the heater on a small arm away from the wall).

Any ideas? Mr. Heater has not been very helpful.

Thank you
Kevin

I have checked Lowes and HD with no luck for the propane.

The only extension hose that I have seen is to adapt from a disposable container to a refillable tank.

There is a section on www.mrheater.com that sells a variety of hose attachments. Did you check with Mr. Heater's customer service to see what they recommend?

However, from what I know about unvented tank top radiant heaters, they are not recommended for indoor use due to the risk of Carbon Monoxide that could result of using a high BTU heater that burns available oxygen quickly in an enclosed space faster than the oxygen can be replaced if lots of ventilation is not provided. (see www.campsafe.org)

There are safer alternatives available for indoor garages and workshops. Overhead tube heaters are available with vent kits and Mr. Heater makes a large indoor-safe 18,000 BTU Heater called the Big Buddy and it's available at Lowes and in Cabela's catalog. There's also a website called www.heatmygarage.com that may provide some helpful info.
