What types of Vise Grips do you need, what type of project, and how long will they be needed?

I have half a dozen or so pair of a few different styles that I never use that I'd be willing to loan you as long as they don't come back either rusty or covered in welding slag.

I can't imagine any job needing 40 pairs of vice grips... I'm not exactly sure what youre doing, but I'd imagine a few pairs of vise grips and a bunch of cheap spring clamps would work. or a few pairs a vise grips and tack welds....

If it's urgent and one-time use, maybe just get cheap ones? Over at Lowes, 4 for $10 this week.

I don't have any to spare at the moment, but wish you luck!

This sounds like the kind of work "cleco" clamps were made for.

Doing it on the truck or off??? I'm guessing you're trying not to mess with the floor and side/center rails. I'd probably not cut so much at one time that you need that many clamps. Do a few sections at a time.
Pic of what you dealing with would be good -- there may be a simple solutiopn to put it togetehr without all the vise grips....
