Needed: Kennedy tool box parts

I wish to introduce myself to anyone who reads this, as this is my first post.
I am in need of a few parts for a Kennedy roll away set up I pieced together over the years. An impending move and financial restraints have prevented me from ordering them from Kennedy directly. Specifically, I need:

Key for K1354 lock (flushed it down the toilet accidentally a few months ago)
1 drawer pull for an older 297 tool box
4 screws for above mentioned drawer pull (2 are bad on another one)
Key for a Ken 71 lock

Hopefully, 1 person will have extra parts........I do have some things to offer as a swap. I have a few smaller Snap On and Mac wrenches, a few older ratchets, some old Craftsman sockets, just depends what you are looking for.
I understand as a newbie I will ship my tools out first to anyone interested. Also, I have not accessed any PMs yet, so please be patient.

Pull out all the tumblers from the boxes, hit the local locksmith and get three new tumblers keyed alike for less then $20.

Thanks for the suggestion about the local locksmith.
Now about that key. I flushed the key, not the key cylinder. It was on my main key ring when I stood up and they fell out of my jacket pocket. To pour salt in the wound, I called out a plumber on a Saturday night to see if the keys were maybe stuck in the toilet trap. They were not............Flushed forever.

Actually I think you will find that all you have to do is go visit your local hardware store. You should be able to buy three keyed alike that should work just fine for you for less than $20 total! Forget the locksmith and $60 an hour plus parts.

The hardware store lock will work for the top box, but not for the bottom. The roller cabinets engage a square rod that goes to the back of the box. Regular cabinet locks usually have a screw/bolt that holds on a locking arm.



I don't have they keys that you're looking for, but I just ordered new cylindrical locks keyed alike for some of my Kennedy boxes, and I have some other lock & key assemblies from another set of boxes.

You are just buying off the shelf parts that are cheap no labor involved. Where do you think the locks come from in the first place .... yep right off the shelf industrial lock supply the same that supply your local locksmith.


I crack up every time someone says they are going to contact a tool box manufacturer for a lock or key. This an invitation for getting ripped off for no reason but to fill some corporations coffers. There is no tool box on the market that does not use a simple off the shelf lock even the electronic and push buttons are cheap off the shelf locks.

Are you sure? I have the lock here looking at it, and the rectangular socket is part of the tumbler assembly. The tumbler is held in with a spring clip with 8 fingers on the back. They're no fun to remove and try to reuse, and the new one won't work anyway.
