Not being very good with computers, could some kind soul teach me how to put a link into my post.

Example: I see a tool on the alloy artifacts web-site and I want to show the other members,(I am clueless) as to how that is done.

If I can learn that then later maybe someone can teach me how to post a picture (later down the road).

Lastly I would like to learn how to put an avatar in my post.

So there you have it, I would just like to learn one thing at a time starting just with the (POSTING A LINK PART). The other two things will come later.

Thank you very much for all your kind help.

Woody.

Example: I see a tool on the alloy artifacts web-site and I want to show the other members,(I am clueless) as to how that is done. At the page you want to link, click in the address bar so that it highlights, then hit CTRL-C (copy). In your post, hit CTRL-V (paste). Should drop the link in. There are other ways too but thats pretty easy.

If I can learn that then later maybe someone can teach me how to post a picture (later down the road). Sign up for an account at photobucket.com upload images to that website, then under the images there are a few lines showing addresses and picture links and such. I just click in the picture link area, CTRL-C the text there, CTRL-V it into my post, and presto. While you're typing it will just show the image link, but once you preview or finish your post it should show a picture.

Lastly I would like to learn how to put an avatar in my post. Click the "User CP" (control panel) button in the black bar under the title graphic. From here find the "edit avatar" button on the left menu, then select "upload an image" by hitting the "browse" button. Go find it, hit open, and you're good to go.

Thank you very much for all your kind help.
