Looking to sell a toolbox I have and looking for info or maybe opinions on how much to ask for it, value, etc. it’s an older box that I bought at an auction and don’t really need it at home. I’ve attached a few pictures and can also attach more. Any info, suggestions, etc is greatly appreciated. Located in Midwest United States region

I know in my area I don’t think that would go for much over a grand. I’ve been on the hunt for something bigger and I feel I could get 2k-2400 for my classic 78 with a ss top. How much are you into the box? Might just be a better idea to ride her till she dies in all honestly.

Might trade some cool stuff for it??? A racing lawn mower or something? I think y'all do that in Iowa.

All down to condition and details like drawer liners, top mats, does it have keys etc .
I see side cabinet got serious lower drawer alignment issue .
dealing with that drawer if easy fix and sorting keys and perhaps liners can make big difference to selling price as can decent effort on pictures .
I buy and sell a lot of boxes and my price on that be 7-800 bucks top assuming rest of drawers/slides and alignment good and overall fairly straight/tidy .
21" depth don't sell well but make a nice home box or project box or a roll around cabinet bench/cart in a shop .
Some will pay more so could try more like 1200 but most going want pay under 1K
Always worth pricing little high as market soon tell you it too high and you can adjust, too low and it gone quick but you lost few 100 ...

Since you got a good deal on it and didn't let the SO dealer rip you off on it, you better make sure you didn't buy a box with a lien on it. I'd hate for the SO dealer to have to come steal, I mean uh repo, your box along with all of your tools that are unrelated to your box.

Sorry, I couldn't resist haha.

You paid what it's worth, IMO. I would have a hard time giving more than $800 for that box, maybe $300 extra for the side box.

Yes its a SO box, yes its a Masters box, but the condition is meh, and the size isn't really as desireable as the deeper boxes.

If it was cherry and looks like grandma only drove it to church and back you might be able to squeak out $1800 for the pair, but in the current condition I don't see more than $1100 or so.

Just my opinion, your mileage may vary.
