Needle scaler getting wicked hot

I got a needle scaler from an American mfg a couple months ago. The forward portion gets super hot when I use it. My HF special never did. Am I missing something about higher end need scalers? I put 30w oil in around the needles but it didn't stay in long. The thing is oiled up too.

Could help to lower your input pressure a little. I've found the cheaper ones just waste air at higher pressures, whereas the better ones work themselves to death.
