I quit buying from them also.
Too mucH BS and run-a-around on orders. They hardly keep anything in stock.

I honestly believe this is just someone working out of their house as I have heard a baby crying in the background once while on the phone with them.

BUY AT YOUR ON RISK; YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I think I've placed over 10 orders with them... each over 200 dollars and never had a problem. Some items are out of stock and you have to wait a while to receive them... I have price-matched multiple items from them without issue.

I would buy from them again; just don't expect ultra-fast delivery.

I just placed my first order with Chads Toolbox. I had an OK experience.

They had "Wera Weekend" a few weeks ago, where they had 25% off all Wera orders. I had been planning on ordering several sets of the Kraftform Classic screwdriver sets, to use as Christmas presents.

I ordered 6 sets on 9/30/2011. The order partially shipped on 10/1/2011 and arrived in Kansas on 10/6/2011. I received 2 of the 6 sets I ordered.

The invoice said the other sets would ship in 1-2 weeks. On October 20, I emailed them and they said that they received weekly Wera shipments, but the screwdriver sets had not yet come into stock. The rest of the sets shipped on October 25 and arrived a few days later.

Amazon has these same Wera sets shipped for $18.47 + tax right now. I think they were a couple bucks cheaper when I ordered my sets a few weeks ago, because I compared prices between Amazon and Chad's.

I ended up getting 6 sets for $88.51 shipped, or $14.75 each. That's a good price. But, since they don't tell you what's in stock, you have no way of knowing if your order will arrive in a few days or several weeks.

I would order from Chad's Toolbox again, but only if it was a significant savings over Amazon or another reliable source. If the difference was only a couple bucks, I'd take the more reliable service of Amazon.

the only issues I've had with Chadstoolbox is their shipping charges. I havent tried calling them direct to see if theres ways to combine shipping on in stock items so maybe i'll try that on my next order. I've swallowed their shipping a couple times for items I "needed" for aproject but for "want" items, I tend to like to shop around a little. I had done up a shopping cart a few days ago with a bit ratchet/bit check set and a set of precision screwdrivers and when it came time to do the checkout, they simply added the already high shipping quotes for 2 individuial items together. the shipping came to almost $40!!! that's pricey even to Canada for 2 small items that would fit in an envelope!! other than the shipping price, I've had no bad experiences with them. I just use the chat feature to check that items are in stock before i place my order and they usually show up within a week. I regret missing the wera weekend. Hope they have aother one before too long!!
