I wouldn't buy anything from them. Putting USA in their name is just deceptive business and I will not support it.

USA don't bother me at all since it won't be for a EVERYDAY use....
Just gonna be for my personal projects at home....

Don't get me wrong I got SOME stuff that's name brand like SnapOn (which I might add has Made in Spain on them)

So it really does not matter to me at all...

I don't have any Neiko tools but when searching ebay for cheapest bit sockets with bits from S2 steel - this name came up.

If this is the same "S2" steel as Toptul uses in it's bits sockets it's a bargain.

Ya bro I agree man.... I think it's a bargain anyway... Especially when compared to them high dollar SnapOn versions and then also in these sets you get 60pcs each set and the SnapOn sets you get way less for bout 3-4 times the money

ps i also bought the allen set and long allen set in metric all those have seen more use and a tearing it up every day. go for it kaotic you'll be happy with them.

I wasn't saying it was bad because it's foriegn. It just annoys me that all their tools are listed on ebay as "Neiko Tools USA" when they are not made in USA. I might consider a seldom used item from them, but their blatant false marketing leads me to choose other manufacturers.

I have a few of their set I get off Amazon. I have their metric hex and long hex socket set which have worked pretty well with me putting a fair amount of torque on them through my long handle 3/8" SO ratchet. I also have a Snap On hex set but my friend/coworker uses it all the time and I didn't see the point in spending so much money on another set.

I own the Neiko XZN set & the Hex bit set. They are identical to ATD sets....not Harbor Freight.

I have had no issues with them, and they work great.

For the Torx set, I picked up the TEKTON set.....not as many sockets, but I am very happy with it. You may want to check it out. Lifetime warranty.

I know with the Neiko set, you break one, you are S.O.L.

I would suggest reading the amazon reviews from actual owners....

I would go VMI if on a budget. This is the same company that Cornwell sources from, so I would make the assumption they are of above average quality for Asian tools since Cornwell choses to put their name on them. FWIW, I own the Cornwell set and they are ok, a little softer than I would prefer.

I own thousands of dollars worth of MAC and Snap On. I bought that set and they are solid. I challenge any of the fan boys to prove otherwise. I wont deny that most Neiko is subpar, but these sockets have been solid for me. Hell, I have broken quite a few truck tools too.

Ya guys I just can't see spending $300-$400 on a set from off the SnapOn truck when these will work just fine for my needs of occasional use at home working on my personal projects....

And ya I'm gonna have to check out the hex socket sets also.... Shorts and longs both

I wouldn't spend that much on a set of stuff that I rarely use. But...if you feel the need to buy it most people are okay with their stuff from what I've heard on here oh wait that's not neiko it's sunex. I'd say no on the neiko unless there's nothing comparable in this price range or you see how their bit socket tools generally review.

I own a couple of the smaller sets shown earlier and for my needs they have been excellent. I am not a pro, but for the few repairs I've done on my VW I am very pleased with them.

Bringing back an old thread for an update. Neiko and Capri are identical to the ATD as well.

Capri claims to be the "direct manufacturer".

Picked up these Capri Tools hex sockets for $15 and free shipping on Amazon. They are the same as the Neiko so I figured I would post them here.

The initial quality seems good. Everything checks out and the hex part is in the socket square. I checked the size with my sockets and the size seems very very good.

I took a picture of the included sizes so everyone can see that the infamous 7mm that Ford randomly uses is included!

I will hopefully get to use these soon and will report back with my impressions and pictures of the used sockets.

Updating my usage of these sockets:

The sockets worked extremely well and I was pleasantly surprised with them.

The Good: strong, bit took no damage, fit was spectacular

The Bad: The sockets didn't hold onto the ratchet or extension very tightly

Overall very please for less than $15 shipped

Just to add to the discussion:

I have the Capri version of the master torx set and I am very happy with the few times I've used them. The worst of which was stripped hex retaining screws in front brake rotors that I needed to remove. Not having an easy-out, I took one of these torx bits and hammered the poor thing into the rounded retaining screws then zipped them out with my impact. The bit still looked pretty good after so I'd say the steel is very good.

i'll throw an update out there for anyone interested in these..... i initially bought them as the just in case set when i worked at a chain store, now i work full time at a bmw dealership and these things get beat on every day, i have the master torx set, master short allen set and long allen set. torx sockets are awsome today i had to grind down an e8 to sneek in and get a vacuum pump off a n63, and i ground it a little to much i'm taling less then a MM between the side wall of the drive end and whats left of the socket. now i probably killed this socket but it finished the job no problems even with me zipping the ehuast heat shields back on with my m12 impact driver............ the 6mm and 7mm short allen get beat up on brake jobs... 6mm allen is 1/4" drive in the set it constantly takes rotor screws out with my m18 fuel 3/8ths impact. ive even adapted it down form 1/2" air impact to take some rotor screws out before. 7mm gets thrown on a impact swivel and hit with the mg 325, hasn't missed a beat..... and as for the long allen's i use a 8mm long allen to drain the oil on n63/s63 enigne's and somehow they are tight as all hell! so i seriously have to take thse drain plugs loose with my 24" half inch drive ratchet! i give it one good pull and hear a snap alway's waiting for that cheep *** long hex socket to fail and it hasn't yet! i think these are a killer deal and anyone would be happy with them.
