I’m looking at getting a Nepros Flex Head. I will probably get a 1/4 to start and then a 3/8 if I like it.

My only experience with flex heads is locking Gearwrench 90t, non locking Gearwrench 120s and non locking tektons.

The Nepros does not have any detents to hold the head in place, looks like it uses spring loaded Teflon bushing of some sort. How well does it hold the head?

I have a few non flex head Snap On 80s and have a urge to add a couple nice flex heads to the ratchet drawer but would like some feedback first.

The Nepros flex heads work better than others (including SO) that use a spring washer in the pivot for tension. They should never become floppy, though I haven't used mine extensively. I don't like detents or the fixed locks on Carlyles. I also don't like QR ratchets so I use my SOs more than the Nepros.

I had a full set of flex and non-flex XP120s and sold them.

Try an Icon. Really. They're that good and I have ~2 dozen SO DuaL 80 3/8s ratchets for comparison.
