Nepros Gold Wrenches

I got an email today from Nepros introducing their gold colored tooling. I love my Nepros chrome tools but I don't really need more wrenches or ratchets. But these look beatiful so maybe want but not need. Has anyone asked for pricing yet? He explains how to aske for a quote but I thought I would ask here first for possibly quick answer.

The pricing is included in the pdf you attached. Read the fine print. It's listed in yen. This is going to be a fairly limited run so they're only planning to sell sets as shown and priced in the pdf.

There are some distributors and resellers that will probably sell individual pieces but they will set their own prices and I doubt they'll break up wrench sets.

Takanoura-san, CEO of Factory Gear in Japan, has a video showcasing the new gold tools. The gold ion plating is on top of the regular Nepros 3 stage plating, so it's just as tough as a regular Nepros ratchet or socket.

i use my wood handle every day, and REALLY use it not coddle it. used the rear end as a hammer today the biggest damage so far is when i shorted it out lazily taking a battery out, vaporized a bit of it but thats fine, its my tool

i would be a little worries using one of their blue or gold plated tools, plating will wear away relatively quickly right?

Amazon.co.jp have the NBR390GL and NBR290GL in stock at the moment. I ordered last Saturday and received them Thursday.

Well it's ¥11,000 for the 3/8" including 10% sales tax, but the ticket has the net price on it for customs I expect. The duty for me is zero, but the VAT is 23% on top. (Ireland). The 1/4" is 8,890 inc.

Prices shown on Amazon.co.jp include Japanese sales tax, which is removed on exports. But then for EU sales, they stick on import charges (looked like a straight 23% on top of the inclusive prices) and if It's more than the guestimate, they take the hit, but I'd it's less, a refund is given (last order I got all of 56 eurocent back) I'll work out the final costs properly later.

Okay, a quick breakdown of costs here:

1x NBR390GL - screen price on 16th Jan - ¥11,000, ex. tax ¥10,000
1x NBR290GL - screen price on 16th Jan - ¥9,029, ex. tax ¥8,208
2x Koken RSAL200-3/8X8 - ¥4,022 - ex. tax ¥3,656

sub total - screen price ¥24,051 - ex. tax - ¥21,864

shipping and handling DHL / Amazon Global priority - ¥2,177 - ex. tax sub total = ¥24,041
import fees and taxes ¥5,529 (~23% which is similar to local VAT/GST)

Grand total ¥29,570 all customs pre-cleared.

Took Amazon's forex billing in Euro as my CC charges 2.65% handling fee and Amazon works out cheaper. YMMV.

Checked the price of them today (22nd Jan) and it's now ¥11,440 (¥10,400) for the NBR390GL and ¥8,890 (¥8,082) for the NBR290GL - algorithms ****.
