Nesting birds?

So I have a problem with nesting birds. If you look at the picture, they are nesting where the arrow is pointing. Not a huge deal, but my wife works from home and her office is the window you see just below the nesting spot. Very annoying to her and her work.
Is there anything I can do to get rid of the birds?

Thanks

You can buy bird spikes from Sears, Target, etc. Or you can make your own with some nails driven through some wood. Either way, once you clear out the nest and put those up, they shouldn't be back.

I used plastic owls - didn't work. The best thing I used was called "Tacky Toes". It should be available at better garden and agricultural stores. It comes in a tube - you use a caulking gun to apply it. It is really just sticky stuff you put right on the area where the birds congregate. They get the stuff on their feet and hate it. Worked on the first day and the birds never came back.

The label said it would last for about a year. Mine was up for 6 before I had to reapply it.

Warning though, this stuff sticks to anything. Use latex gloves when putting it on, as well as throw away work clothes. I got some stuff stuck to my jeans and had to throw them out.
