My DIY off grid 16kw Solar Project is working out great a month into operation. When the sun is shiningi have more capacity than im using and mcguyvering ways to top off the Tesla and a plug in Prius..
But i really wish to think about adding a gen transfer switch to take the "inside 200 amp panel" with lighter loads and switch in onto solar most of the time. I have a 3p transfer switch in hand that can do that. The house is very energy efficient and has led lights and mini splits all over. By coincidence the panel outside the house feeds the water heater, oven and spa and accessory building panel...
So my question is on the Neutral Bond. I think it is supposed to be bonded once and i think that happened in the outside panel. If i splice in between the house outside panel and the house inside panel the 3 pole transfer switch... I think this is what is needed. My solar is 16 kw 2 phase (110 + 110) with two MPP lv6048 in parallel for inverters).
So if i do a visual inspection and sketch out where the bond(s) are .. is there a DVOM meter test to also do to see if im not creating a disaster? What would be a danger or concern? THANKS!
