Hey guys,
So I'm finishing up the sub panel installation in my garage. I have the breaker (90a) installed in the main panel, but I ran into a problem installing the neutral and ground lugs from the square d kit:

The lug doesn't fit on the neutral or ground bars. It's too wide to line up the holes.

Is there a different type of lug I should look for? Here is a view of the whole panel for reference. It's a square d homeline but it's pretty old.

Thanks, how does that one mount? Does the screw go through those "legs" and offset the lug to the outside?

Nvm, I see that the legs slide into the bussbar from the side like wires. Those will work, thanks!

Yep, just make sure it meets your required rating...

For the life of me can't picture how the one you bought is supposed to mount.

Edit: found the instructions. You pulled 4 screws off the neutral and you can't get that lined up on 2?

Normally I'd say move the grounding electrode conductor and use that lug for your feeder. But I'm not sure if that screw is going to come loose.

I hate it when people use that lug for their grounding conductor. #6 fits down on the neutral bar. I have made my guys move it on new installs, nope sorry doesn't go there.

That lug looks like its for the older Homeline panels (vertical main breaker).

You probably want to try out LK100AN since you have the newer style Homeline panel with the QO/HOM main breaker.

I use this one, it's much more user friendly and only requires removing three of the existing screws from the neutral bar.

Reminds me of a FPE neutral lug . I don't trust that tiny mounting screw. I know the one you linked is Square D but...
Not sure if it was a design flaw or that little screw just never got tight to hold the lug tight to the buss. But I have found numerous (100s ) over the years while shooting trouble(dim/bright lights) of those just like that where the only thing making the connection was the screw threads. After years of service it would fail and the threads burned out. It got to be so bad for a while (north Houston area where a lot of those houses had the same FPE panel) when I'd get a dim lights call the first thing I'd do would be to take my screwdriver and shunt it across that lug and the neutral buss. 90% of the time it would draw an arc. Found the problem without even pulling out a voltmeter.

I like the lug Pcustoms posted.
