I use the grey stuff. I didn't even know they made different kinds until not that long ago. I bought a can of the grey stuff about 15 years ago and only now is it close to empty.

Use the heck out of copper coat at work. Use the silver stuff at home on anything the i'm am worried about being able to take apart in the future or involves stainless or aluminum.
