I saw those a few weeks ago. Too expensive for me. I like my regular locking extensions, and while these would certainly have uses, the cost pushed me away.

Egads. Those are huge, both in price and the diameter at the dingus end.

If I'm in a situation where 1/4" drive wobble is needed for access, it's mighty tight in there, and also fairly likely that the gigantic locking collar also wouldn't fit.

That is indeed some nice knurling, I suppose.

I think I'll get by without these. I can use duct tape to make a "locking" wobble extension out of my wobble extensions.
I may even use a Koken nut-grip socket on it for FOD (or recurring drop frustration) prevention.

These SO extensions would be perfect if they moved the decimal point one space to the left. $21.25 would be a deal, even double that would be OK.

I have those in 3/8” drive and love them.

I’ve done a lot of automotive work over the years. As I look back, some of the most challenging and biggest money savers were interior jobs where tools like this could become worth the money. I may well buy a set.

I have many sets of extensions. I find them to be luxury items. They are rarely discussed on GJ aside from knurling or complaints about wobble plus. I find extensions to be pretty critical tools.

It’s funny how HF’s ripoff ecosystem is so well-defined now that we know which brand name will slapped on the copy version of any given tool.
The circular ripoff is in play. Snap-on rips off the people with a $50 set of extensions priced at $212. HF (or somebody) rips off Snap-on's design. The floodgates open and others bring out their ripped off versions of locking wobble extensions after HF proves that the non tool truck customers will buy them.

To be fair, the SO extensions tend to be stronger than the Taiwanese options and this is especially evident in the smaller sizes.

In recent years, the Taiwanese have done an exceptionally good job with producing quality tools at affordable prices. But there are some areas where they have not done a good job of copying Snap-On….impact swivel sockets (collarless, pinned), 1/4” chrome extensions, chrome universal extensions and needle nose pliers imo.

Touché :ROFLMAO: Both meanings of “rip-off” are at play when HF and SO are selling tools

I've got a set of them, and I've been really happy with them. A couple of spots where if I would have dropped a socket it could have caused some major problems so I was glad I didn't have to worry about that. They're not really any more bulky than a regular extension with a socket on it.

What if you're the guy that doesn't need wobble extensions or locking extensions? :)

EDIT - Nevermind, I forgot I already posted in this thread. 😁

Snap on 1/4" chrome locking extensions always break on the lock like the cheaper brands. They're impact locking extensions seem to hold up a little better.
