Good Day
I used to have a single garage which was always full and could only just get my Harley in there. We had a bedroom extention and did a revamp of the kitchen to keep the family happy. We have been in this house for 14 years and always wanted a larger garage for my toys. Well I finally decided to to do just that. I used a builder friend of mine in April to start. Big mistake to use a friend as you loose a friendship very quickly and money he still owes me. In July they had only put the foundation down with 3 courses of bricks at the front and 16 down the sides. The lower store room had only 3 courses down. This is because the walked off site twice, no pay. To cut a long storey short I got my own builders in and did all the supervision daily. In 5 weeks we are up to roof height. The roof goes on tomorrow, windows and garage door by Friday. I cannot believe how good these builders are. They also wish to finish for Xmas. I was given a tip to try out on the walls and floor which I have tried and really like it. I have added red oxide into the wall plaster which very nice. I will do the same with the floor with gray and then use a none slip sealer.
I have joined this site to get idea's for the set up of the garage. Any idea's or sites to look at would be appreshiated.
I have a Ford 1955 F 100 which I have just completed last week. A 1955 Studebaker Champion, 2 x Harley Davidson and 3 modern cars. It will be nice to have the space to park in my own garage. I have been keeping these at my factory which is a pain when I want to go for a ride. I am so looking forward to completion so I can open the garage door to go for a ride.
I think I am really looking forward to tinkering around in the garage to tell the truth.
Cheers
