New 2.5 car garage

I am planning to retire to Florida within a year but need a garage for my toys!
There is no room in the 800 sq. ft. house to store anything and I need a place for my tools and equipment. The garge will be 24' by 28' and is the biggest that will fit on the property. The Town is rather specific what you can and can't do. I already wish it was bigger but that's life!

It took me a while to get the pictures to follow the text but I finally got it!
This last picture is from yesterday and the trusses are on. Today the roof should get the plywood and a meatl roof follows. It will feel good to get it secure. I've been planning on this build for about five years and it's good to finally see it coming together!

Nice! Looks as if you will have a lot of storage on the upper floor.

What is the reason for the raised floor slab section?

That had me scratching my head as well! It's only the entry way and under the stairs to the second floor. I see no reason for it!

Here is the latest picture from 3-14-11. The back half of the roof is sheathed. The front half is destined for two dormers with plywood to follow.
It sure looks a lot bigger now!
