I may work on doing the walls over the winter, but probably more like the spring time.

Looks great. What size?
Did you build everything yourself or have them premade?
What type of trusses did you use?

Just curious, do you live where you don't get any snow loads? Looks like your wall studs are on 2ft centers and I was wondering about the way you framed the roof rafters. What size lumber did you use for the rafters and cross ties?

Very nice! I'd love to have a blank slate like that someday...where the concrete doesn't even have one drop of oil on it before it's epoxy'd.

I like this picture. It lets the imagination take over. Alot of possibilities with this space.

Great garage!

I live in upstate NY, right near the PA border. we get snow, but only about 2-3 times a year do we get more than foot at a time.

The walls are 2x4 and the ceiling and cross ties are 2x8. i wanted the inside ceiling to give a little extra clearance in case i want to put in a lift.

a blank slate was my dream as well!! thats one of the reasons i bought this house a few years ago, i had just enough room for the garage that i wanted. it was nice, because i could park the cars in them for a few days, and didnt have to worry about either of them dripping oil

Very similar to what I envision building.

What is the actual size of the garage?
What are the height of the walls and about how much room max height do you have with the trusses? I've read ideal height for a lift is 12' so that is what I'm trying to find the best way to achieve at the lowest cost!

Are the trusses similar to scissor trusses or like a vaulted parrallel chord truss?
Did you buy a kit or make most of it yourself?

Looks like you build right on the flat slab which is what my concrete guy suggested. Is there any concern in heavy rain about water coming in under the bottom wall frames?

Sorry for all the questions!

garage is 24x24, inside height to the cross tie is 11'6", walls are around 8ft

there isnt any concern of water because the bottom of the wall has a foam barrier, and its about 3-4" above the ground. I may also run a silicone bead along the inside edge
