I just sold my Maxjax I've had for 7 years and am looking at a Weaver W9-KFP baseplate lift. I only use it to lift modern and classic 911's, with a plan to use it for storage as well. The Maxjax was about 6" to low to stack them.

My old 60's garage has a pretty low roof and I will re-route the garage door along the roof pitch and make changes to the rafter ties so I can lift car above 8 feet, heights will likely be 6' lift or 10' to top of the car hence the baseplate lifts.

I appreciate peoples experience with the different lifts.

My opinion is 2 post are better for work and four post are better for storage. That’s from working in a Porsche shop and having lots of friends with Porsches. It just depends what will work best for you.

I'm sorry, I should have been more specific, this is a active garage I do it all when it comes to 911's, no rub a dub around here, I send that out.

Wrenching on 911's were a hobby but turned serious lately as I get older. The storage is a plus as I have too many cars, they always seem to be coming and going.

As you can see I am very active in the garage hence I posted here to get your guys great feedback.

Cheers for a Saturday!
