The new garage came already with 6 4' twin bulb's. They are two rows of three going in the 40' direction. I would like to swap them ou for something that will brighten up the garage even more. I was thinking about switching the out to the quad buld T8 8' fixtures or a 6 bulb 4' fixture setup that I saw at Home Depot. What do you guys suggest?

The garage is 20 x 40 with 16ft flat ceiling. The garage is finisihed drywall that is painted a flat white. I've also got a 20 x 20 garage that is attached that I was just going to put up two older 8' fixtures up.

I recently replaced about three hundred 400 watt metal halide lamp fixtures with the 4ft 6 lamp t8 fixture. If anything the lighting improved.
My only gripe is about 20% for these fixtures are for wet locations and use two 3 lamp ballasts where the regular ones use a 2 lamp ballast and a 4 lamp ballast.
I wish they would have stayed the same.
I've never dealt with the 8 footers so I couldn't speak on those.
