This came in my email today. I don't like the size as much as my Milwaukee 3/8 impact, but nice to see Ryobi adding to their line. The guy was blabbering way too much in the video and could have cut the time in half. I have several Ryobi 1plus tools and like all of them.

Ya they are a new line up of so called "pro grade" tools they released. Several video reviews on them already. Workshop Addict compared the impact driver against the Milwaukee Gen 3 hands down the Milwaukee rocked it driving long TEK screws over the Yobi.

Also a 3" cutoff tool, and hackzall type tool

is good test of the impact wrench showing both breakaway and tightening torque though

i dont think they are claiming pro grade, just compact.
also, these dont compare to a product thats 2x the price. Milwaukee has always been at the top of impact guns.

I had seen the same email Coach mentioned pro user is the target according to that :dunno:

Press release video...

Ryobi launched a brand new line of tools. Ryobi One+ HP Power Tools include all brushless motors and powered by the One+ 18-volt battery packs. Included in the new HP line is a Compact Drill Driver, Compact Impact Driver, Compact Brushless Cut Off Tool, Compact Brushless one-handed reciprocating saw, Compact Right Angle Drill, and the new Compact Brushless 3/8" Impact Wrench.
Prices range from $99 to $179. Kits include 2 18-volt 1.5Ah batteries that include LED lit fuel gauges. Ryobi is after the professional with this compact line of 18-volt tools. Ryobi HP.

If Ryobi can actually compete with Milwaukee on the same level with the new brushless cordless power tools would have to be seen. but the price point might be desirable for those believing they offer a similar product. I've been with Milwaukee cordless M18/M12 for close to 10 years now. I pretty much know won't be switching anything anytime soon :D
