New 840sqft garage floor in FL.

I have done all kinds of reading and searching. The more I see. The more I don't know what to use. I'm sure I'm asking for a miracle product for the money.

Looking for a new floor coating for a new build. 840ft. Will have jacks, jack stands and engine lifts. I like fleck and stained floors. The big thing is I'm on a budget. I know that's a bad word. What are my options for a floor that won't look like **** or all scratched up in a couple years for $1 a foot or less. Am I asking for something in that budget that doesn't exist? Please let me know your opinions.

We can come in well under your budget by you staining the floor with the stain of your choice, and then coating over it with our SPGX clear one part polyurea which is super chemical and solvent resistant, but applies like a paint.

We suggest using acid type stains vs water based as they give better results.

A fleck floor property done will be over your budget.

I feel you Bro, I am in the same spot, my 400 sqft garage in FL to get the pros to put in an epoxy floor would set me over $3200. I was thinking of VCT flooring, but Armstrong told me that their tiles are not recommended for the garage because of temperature fluctuations and that tires will mark the floor, they also told me I could be violating fire codes. Snap tiles like Race Deck was really expensive, and so is roll out flooring. So looks like i am going to patch some small cracks and use garage floor paint, easy to apply, inexpensive, easy touch up when my floor jacks scrap it. I am learning that the 2 biggest expenses in a garage is the flooring and cabinets, and maybe A/C.

Welcome to the site. But yes. I'm afraid of a new pretty glossy floor looking all scratched up after a year of Jack's and engine hoist. I'm liking the stained look. Just need to decide on what to put on top of it.

I bought two 8x22 rolls of BLT ribbed (for my pleasure) roll out flooring for my garage - $200 on craigslist, new, about a year ago. I've seen a few more ads for similar deals in other cities, it's amazing what you can find on CL - good luck!!

I got a trailer full of insulation. And I just got the phone call that they're installing the building next Thursday and Friday. I'm so excited. But my guess is something will come up and we'll reschedule. Not uncommon for them. But either way I'm moving along.
