evening folks,
i have just been required to perform an update to my environmental unit.
however, in my quest to make an intelligent decision, i cant find anything up to date as far as the old Oil vs. LP heating/cooling setups.

specifically this particular issue.

existing unit is/was an 15 year old Forced air oil burner heater from Rheem
producing 140k
i added an older Goodman AC unit about 10 years ago when it fell into my hands.
i installed the AC Coil into the Heater Ducting, installed drain legs and condensate pump to transfer the condensate outside. my only costs were to purchase a Line Set from Grainger.
the Freon, R-22 was from a Free Source (HVAC co-worker)Line set ran me 75$ back then.
recently when the thermo hit 95F humidity at 100000%+ i started the AC in the morning. when returning home later i found the house still hot. found the Compressor Burnt Out. (melted contacts and wires)
inn discussion with wife we both agreed it is ridiculous to just repair a 13+ year old AC unit and concluded the Original Home Heater is nearing EOL as well.
so we opted to Replace the complete AC/Heating units.

now i have waiting to be installed a new LP Fired High Efficient (95%+) Carrier ICS Condensing Gas Furnace and a New 3 ton AC unit with Scroll compressor and multistage Blower.

what i am wanting to know or have a ball park idea of what to expect in terms of Savings/ or costs for the new system.
i figure the Heater is going to prove much better going from 80% oil burner-to a 95% LP fired Furnace.
the AC unit is rated at 3 tons as the old unit **** the SEER rating is 17-18.
i have no idea what the older Goodman AC is rated. i am presuming it to be 8-10 SEER.

last years oil heating consumption was 650 Gallons
the Hot water, Dryer and Stove top used about 400 gallons propane.
Note: i had my son and his family living with me and the wife so this years should be lower.

can anyone provide some Real Numbers to this non math, knuckle dragging Boiler Operator?
