New Account banned???

Hi,

a coworker suggested this site after talking about building a garage and how it was helpful when he built his. Fantastic, created a account, IIRC, and started reading up before posting. Logged in the next day to see

banned with no reason and forever??? Never posted so I am at a loss of why? Other forums that I have been on for decades usually at least let you know if you stepped on someones toes etc.

It would be interesting to know what he posted. If he indeed “read up” before posting, read the rules and followed them, he shouldn’t have said something to get banned.

It wasn't him, it was me. I created a account, browsed and next time I logged in, saw that message. I have not posted anything but the 2 posts in this thread. was just wondering if it was a mistake, a glitch, my account hacked? I don't know.

I suspect with the large volume of spammers signing up recently , something looked fishy on the account & thus the acct was banned

That makes sense and so does this year, phew. What a dumpster fire of a year. Thought I would be proactive and get all 4 car trailer tires and spare replaced today. I typically never buy a new spare, only use one of the old tires but nope, since it is 2020, 5 new tires. 1 friggin exit from the tire store, had a trailer tire explode. Ah no biggie, only have to drag it a mile or so. Well I guess that did something to the surge brakes which locked up the other tire on the side. screw it, dragging to the shop regardless. 50ft from the entrance, the locked tire pops lol. Given the start of this task, was expecting issues with the surge brakes or some mistake like finding out I ordered the wrong size tires. Nope, 1 guy had the trailer lifted, 5 tires mounted/balanced and back on the trailer before I could finish my coffee adn towed like a dream. Brakes worked fine on the trip back. Backed the trailer into its spot and not touching until 2021.

"IIRC". Apologies if making this account "IIRC2" goes against rules but I could not find a easy way to reach out to anyone. And if this account is fine, works for me since there was no history with the other one.
