Well I put my new addition up and I was looking down the side of the garage and noticed that its not perfectly straight. So I ran a string from end to end which is 46 feet long and its out about 1-1/4" and it seems mainly to be right where the new addition meets the old garage that its the worst. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do to fix this or will it be that noticable when im done siding it. Im not sure if Im being to picky or not?

Thanks Mike:confused:

Yeah pics would help, hard to imagine..

That's a sizable difference, can you tell if it is because of the foundation or the framing?

Off the top of my head I'm thinking that you might be able to add some furring strips to the studs before you put the siding up. It's such a simple solution that it probably won't work.

Measure twice, cut once, obviously was not followed here. Once the building is up there is not much you can do but apply cosmetics.

46 feet is a long way for a string line. I hope you had it super tight. If the line up is out that 1-1/4" you will just have to space out the frame. Tack in some appropriate sized slats to bring all up to alignment and Bobs your uncle ! I won't tell any one. ha ha ha
